Our community offers a support system for you even beyond the walls of St. Norbert College. Whether you are at St. Norbert or a graduate, these resources are available to you.
Pregnancy Resource Centers
- The A&A Alexandrina Center helps more than 2,000 women a year. This Green Bay pregnancy center administers free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds; connects mothers in need with the MOM’s Home; provides information on fetal development, adoption, and parenting; and offers childbirth classes, community resources, and post-abortive counseling. Every women who tests positive for pregnancy receives a layette basket, a gift basket containing baby clothing, blankets, diapers, bath products, and other basic necessities for newborns. - Care Net is a non-profit network of pregnancy centers that provide pregnancy services and non-judgmental care, empowering women to make positive, life-affirming choices for themselves and their families.
- Catholic Charities provides social services to all residents, regardless of faith, of the sixteen counties in the Diocese of Green Bay. They help parents access community resources and achieve housing, education, employment, and nutrition. If you are considering adoption, they will also help you discuss your options and choose the best one for you. - Love Life Ministry is an ecumenical outreach ministry that actively promotes respect for life by providing basic infant needs to low-income families in the Green Bay area. For more information, call the East Side location at 920-621-8242 or the West Side location at 920-497-1087.
Maternity and Transitional Living Homes
- House of Hope “offers a safe, supportive place where young mothers learn to become confident adults and independent, successful parents” by providing programming, services and shelter to homeless pregnant or parenting women, aged 18 to 24, and their children. - Freedom House serves Brown County area families who find themselves in dire need of emergency housing. It is Brown County's only homeless shelter that serves all types of families with children. For more information, call Freedom House at 920-432-4646.
Tips and Information
Text4baby is a free text messaging service that makes it easy to receive important information, developed by experts nationwide, for pregnant women and new moms. By texting BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411, you’ll receive free text messages three times per week, timed to your due date or your baby's birth date, through pregnancy and up until your baby's first birthday. Topics include signs and symptoms of labor, appointment reminders, safe sleep tips, nutrition information, and breastfeeding advice.
Health Hotline
The Wisconsin Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Hotline provides information and links to services and resources for women before, during, and after pregnancy and for children, including children with special health care needs. The hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-722-2295.
RN Home Visitation Services
Free RN home visitation services are available through the Brown County Health & Human Services Department.

SNAP and WIC
If money is a little tight, we can help you put food on the table. SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as Food Stamps. To apply for SNAP, contact Brown County Health & Human Services at 920-448-6460. WIC provides assistance specifically for women, infants, and children. For more information, contact the New Community Clinic at 920-431-0243 (West Side location) or 920-437-8368 (East Side location).
