Winter & Summer Break Housing

Summer Housing

There is a limited amount of summer student housing available from May 17, 2025 to Aug. 1, 2025.  Early arrival housing is available from Aug. 1 to the start of the academic year. Students interested in both summer and early arrival housing will only need to complete one application. Please fill out the application at least seven days prior to the date you would like to arrive on campus.

Summer housing applications will be available mid-March through May 1.

2025 Summer Housing Costs and Options 

  • Costs for the following areas: $21 per day or a maximum of $1050 ($1200 for college houses which includes utility costs)
    • College Houses: Only 2025-26 academic year residents
    • Burke Hall and Sensenbrenner Hall: All SNC students (Kitchens will be open for the summer)
  • Cost for Gries: Only 2025-26 academic year residents
    • $1050 beginning June 1 for the summer months for all students assigned to Gries Hall for the 2025-26 academic year regardless of whether they choose to move in during the summer.

  • Students will receive information about their summer housing placement during finals week typically.

Summer assignments may be temporary, and students may be asked to move to a different location if health guidelines are updated.

Winter Housing

The 2024-25 winter break housing application will be available on Nov. 1 at www.snc.edu/housing by clicking on the “Apply Now” button.

Any student living on campus the Saturday after finals at noon and before the Friday of spring semester (8 a.m.), must register for housing over winter break. Card access will be shut off for non-registered students during this time period.

Costs for Winter Break Housing
  • $21 per night/per person for Bergstrom, Madelaine/Lorraine, Michels, MMM, Sensenbrenner and VMC.
  • Students living in the upper-class housing areas, for both fall and spring terms will not be charged extra for winter break housing.  
  • Daily housing rates will be $21 per night/per person for those students living in upper-class areas in these following situations: 
    • Students who graduate in December or are not returning for the spring semester, but wish to stay in housing past the Saturday after finals. 
    • Spring-semester-only students wishing to move in prior to the Friday before the start of the semester.
