St. Norbert College Hosts Events to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

St. Norbert College is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a salsa dance event and a fiesta to honor the rich cultural, academic and historical contributions of Hispanic
Americans, both past and present.
Noche de Salsa y Clase de Baile Interactiva / Salsa Night and Interactive Dance Class: St. Norbert College is partnering with the Fox Valley Latin Dancers to host an interactive
dance lesson and night of lively salsa from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the Ray Van den Heuvel Campus Center lounge on the St. Norbert College campus. DJ Cubano will
be on hand, and dance instructors Joel Paula and Erica Reid will guide participants through the steps. The event is free, but space is limited. Register at

¡Fiesta! Hispanic Heritage Celebration: St. Norbert College will hold its annual Fiesta celebration from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, in Michels Commons Ballroom on the St.
Norbert College campus. Co-hosted by the college’s Latine Student Union, the event features keynote speaker Rogelio Contreras, a community mobilizer for Wello, co-founder of
Xpresa T Radio and Casa ALBA Melanie board member. It also includes dinner, performances by Dance Academy of Mexico, and drawings for prizes from local Hispanic-owned
businesses. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets for students (from SNC and other schools) are $10; tickets for St. Norbert College faculty and staff and for the general public are $13.
