Kruse Sets St. Norbert Indoor Weight Throw Record

STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College senior Hannah Kruse set the indoor school record in the weight throw as the Green Knights finished in third place at the UW-Stevens Point Big Dawg Invite.

The Green Knights finished with 83.83 points to finish behind UW-Stout's 200.3 points and UW-Stevens Point's 139.5 points.

Kruse became the first St. Norbert thrower to eclipse 47 feet in the weight throw with a toss of 47 feet 1 inch, taking fourth place in the event. Savanna Smith, who briefly held the school record earlier in the meet with a throw of 46-10, finished sixth. Kristina Herman was seventh at 43-0 1/2.

Maddie LeBrun won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.56 second. Peyton McCauley was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.39, while Hailey Ruplinger was seventh in 1:03.43.

Kristina Herman was second in the shot put with a heave of 41-3. Graceanne Tarsa tied for second in the pole vault at 11-1 3/4. The 4x400-meter relay was second with a time of 4:12.97.

Peyton McCauley finished third in the triple jump at 32-11, followed by Emmy Larson in seventh at 31-11 1/2 and Brittany Wagner in eighth at 31-2. Abby Janto was fourth in the 3,000-meter run in 11:42.99, while Elisabeth Klumpyan was fifth in the 5,000-meter run in 20:02.93.

Kelley Gardipee was third in the 800-meter run in 2:26.62, followed by Tarsa in fourth at 2:26.67. Anna Giblin was third in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.68 seconds.

Emmy Larson finished seventh in the high jump at 4-8 3/4.
