DE PERE - St. Norbert College extended its winning streak to nine matches with a 1-0 win over Cornell College in a Midwest Conference matchup at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (12-3-1, 7-0 MWC) now have their longest winning streak since a 10-match skein in 2006.

Following a scoreless first half, St. Norbert broke through when Brandon DiOrio's corner kick was finished on a scramble directly in front of the net by Kieran Ruane, his first goal of the season. Ruane's marker came exactly 49 minutes into the match.

Cornell was forced to play the final five minutes of the match down a player due to a straight red card.

St. Norbert outshot Cornell 12-7 and had a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. Josh Koleske made four saves for his fifth shutout of the season. Jerome Richards made three stops for the Rams.
