Associate Professor of Art
Art920-403-2996

Katie Ries is an associate professor of art who makes multidisciplinary artwork that encourages people to connect to their plants and places through humor, observation and contemplative action. Her teaching encourages students to experiment widely with materials and techniques, work iteratively to refine images and ideas and reflect collectively in writing on the processes of art and design. She was the 2019 recipient of the Bishop Robert F. Morneau Community Service Award at St. Norbert College.

Ries is a co-organizer of Really Big Prints, a biennial, juried, large-scale relief printing event. She is also a co-curator of Speculative Futures: Future Visions from Printmaking Caregivers, a portfolio of fine art prints. You can see more of her work on her website.
