Judy Cervantes is associate professor of Spanish and advisor of the Spanish Club at St. Norbert College. She was raised and educated in both México and the U.S. She teaches language and culture course for the Spanish program. Professor Cervantes specializes in 20th and 21st Latin American literature.

Her scholarship focuses on violence, trauma and memory in recent contemporary narrative of the twenty-first century in Latin American. Her research offers a psychoanalytical approach to the representation of historical events in Latin America with a specific focus on Mexico.
